We call it the Chorus because its the one piece we can’t live without. Made from a black nickel brass 8×14 snare shell with a center bead, tube lugs and all the upgrades. Trick throw, 42-strand German snare wires, Remo P4 coated batter head, Remo hazy ambassador snare side head, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops. Our aim here is to create the snare drum you need every Sunday. Those deep, dark tones, with plenty of responsiveness to cut through the mix. Power smash this thing, ghost note it, rimshot the heck out it; versatility in a big snare drum.
This snare drum comes as an 8-lug construction to make it easier to tune low. Without getting too deep on lug count and how it affects drum sound, the basic principle is that fewer lugs helps you achieve a lower pitch sound from your drum. We think this is incredibly important for deeper snare shells like this one! If for some reason you are wanting this drum in a 10-lug or 12-lug construction, we can arrange that!
Chrome and black hardware configurations come with a Trick 3-position radial throw and butt plate while brass hardware comes with an Inde throw and butt plate.
